My story
After teaching Level 3 for many years, I noticed the same pattern again and again. Students would begin the course excited and motivated. By the third or fourth class, many suddenly realized just how much information they needed to master.
Students weren't struggling because they weren't capable.
They were struggling because they didn't know how to approach the material.
I created the Wine Educate Podcast to help my own students prepare for the course, and the response from students around the world has been incredible. Many have told me the podcast is where difficult concepts finally clicked. These resources grew directly from that experience.
I created them to help students understand what Level 3 is really asking of them, organize their studies, connect the concepts together, and approach the course with confidence. My goal is simple. I want you to enjoy the journey as much as I do.

No. You can begin Level 3 PREP before your course starts, while you're taking Level 3, or while preparing for your exam.
The Level 3 Blueprint is included with PREP and is a great place to start if you haven't begun your official course yet. It will help you understand what Level 3 involves and how to approach your studies from the beginning.
Not at all. You can start Level 3 PREP at any point in your studies and move through the resources in the order that works best for you.
If you're already working on a particular grape variety, region, or exam topic, you can go directly to the resources that are most useful to you rather than starting from the beginning.
Yes. Level 3 PREP can be especially useful if you're preparing for a resit and want a different way to approach the material.
The lessons, Learning Checks, Short Written Answer practice, flashcards, and study resources are designed to help you identify gaps, strengthen your understanding, and make connections across the syllabus rather than simply rereading the textbook.
Yes. You do not need to be a Wine Educate Level 3 student to use these resources.
Level 3 PREP is designed to complement the WSET Level 3 syllabus regardless of where you're taking your course, whether you're studying in person or online through another Approved Programme Provider.
No. The official WSET Level 3 textbook and study materials are not included with your Level 3 PREP purchase.
If you're already enrolled in a WSET Level 3 course, you may already have the book, so there's no need to purchase another copy. If you need the official Level 3 textbook, you can order one separately through Wine Educate.
