No. Level 3 Prep Live is an independent study and coaching program created by Joanne Close, DipWSET to complement the official WSET Level 3 Award in Wines course. It includes the complete Level 3 PREP study system plus live group coaching, accountability, and a dedicated study group. It does not replace the official WSET course, textbook, or the independent study required to prepare for the examination.
The January 2027 cohort includes six live group coaching sessions. All sessions are held at 10:00 AM Central Time.
Session dates: Sunday, January 17; Sunday, January 31; Sunday, February 14; Sunday, February 28; Sunday, March 14; and Sunday, March 22.
Every session is recorded and uploaded afterwards, so you can catch up if you cannot attend live.
The January cohort runs from January 17 through March 22, 2027. Throughout the 12 weeks, you'll receive a clear weekly study focus, work alongside a dedicated study group, and join Joanne for six live group coaching sessions.
You'll also have access to the complete Level 3 PREP study system throughout the program, so you can use the lessons and resources alongside your WSET studies.
Yes. Every participant is placed into a small study group of approximately five students. Your group gives you a smaller community to discuss the material with, work through difficult concepts, and stay accountable throughout the cohort.
We'll work through Short Written Answer practice, discuss difficult concepts, answer questions submitted by the group, and identify what you should focus on before the next session.
Every live group coaching session is recorded and uploaded afterwards. You can watch the recording when your schedule allows and revisit it later during your studies.
Yes. You'll have the opportunity to submit questions before every live group coaching session. Joanne will use those questions to help shape the discussion and address the areas students are finding most difficult.
Level 3 Prep Live includes 12 months of access to Level 3 PREP. That means your access continues well beyond the 12-week live cohort, giving you time to keep using the Blueprint, study modules, video lessons, Learning Checks, Short Written Answer practice, flashcards, private podcast, and new PREP resources as you prepare for your exam.
Individual Short Written Answer marking is not included. We will work through Short Written Answer practice during the program, discuss how to approach the questions, and use suggested answers to help you understand what a strong response should include.
